Hearing: Putting More Money in Your Pocket
WILKES-BARRE, Oct. 28 – With corporate greed driving up prices on everyday items, Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski is focused on doing what Pennsylvania can to push back on price gouging, and what tax dollars can be put back into the pockets of working families to ease that Wall Street pickpocketing.
Members will gather to hear testimony about the impacts of measures already putting money back into people’s pockets, like the new childcare tax credit. They will also hear about price gouging legislation and an earned income tax credit that would give working families up to a quarter of their state income tax back to them every year but is currently being blocked by Senate Republicans.
The hearing will take place on Monday, October 28 at 1 p.m. at Wilkes University in the Miller Room, located on the second floor of the Henry Student Center, 84 West South St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
The hearing will also be livestreamed here.
