Cutting Red Tape for Grants

On Monday, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m., the House Majority Policy Committee will convene a hearing on cutting red tape for state grants. Smaller municipalities, fire companies and other organizations struggle to navigate state grant processes, causing some communities that need help the most to miss out. The hearing, hosted by Rep. Frank Burns (D-Cambria), will focus on what lawmakers can do to help ease the process.
