Hearing: Eviction Sealing

On Thursday, February 15, the House and Senate Democratic Policy Committees will convene a joint hearing on the need to adopt a statewide eviction record sealing policy. An eviction filing can follow a person for years, regardless of whether they are evicted or not, and make any chance they have at obtaining future housing incredibly difficult.

This hearing, hosted by Reps. Ismail Smith-Wade-El and Abigail Salisbury, along with Senators Jay Costa, Katie Muth, Nikil Saval, and Judy Schwank, will be held at the Wilkinsburg Municipal Building, 605 Ross Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221 at 1 p.m. It will be livestreamed here.
