PHILADELPHIA – The House and Senate Democratic Policy Committees hosted a joint hearing Monday on addressing hit and runs and to discuss legislation that would implement the Jay Alerts Pilot Program, hosted by Sen. Anthony Williams (D-Phila.) and Rep. Morgan Cephas (D-Phila.). The hearing featured testimony from community members, first responders, law enforcement, local activists, and medical professionals on the impact of hit and runs and the legislation Sen. Williams and Rep. Cephas plan to introduce.
