PITTSBURGH, Feb. 8 — The House Democratic Policy Committee convened a hearing in Pittsburgh on Thursday to explore ways to improve public safety and nightlife, specifically in the South Side neighborhood. In front of a standing-room crowd, the committee heard testimony from residents, police, city officials and local business owners. The hearing was hosted by Rep. Jessica Benham (D-Allegheny).
