ADVISORY: Pennsylvanians fill online shopping carts; Policy Committee holds hearing on PA supply chain

HARRISBURG, Nov. 24 – On Cyber Monday, it’s projected that online sales will top $11.5 million and the flood of goods purchased online will inevitably hit Pennsylvania ports, roads and rails. That means greater strain on workers and infrastructure, which may or may not be built to support this type of commerce. The PA House Democratic Policy Committee will explore Pennsylvania’s supply chain at an upcoming hearing.

The hearing will be held at 1 p.m. on Cyber Monday, Nov. 29, in room 418 Main Capitol, Harrisburg. Testifiers from across the Commonwealth will participate virtually. The media and public are invited to attend in person or to watch online at www.pahouse.com/policy or on the committee’s Facebook page @PADemPolicy.

Media inquiries may be submitted via email to policy@pahouse.net.
