Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski November 16, 2022
Pa. state Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, alongside members from the Pa. Department of Human Services, Pa. Dept. of Drug and Alcohol Programs, and Pa. Dept. of Aging came together to highlight various resources available to grandparents who are raising their grandchildren as a result of the ongoing opioid crisis in Pennsylvania. One brave grandparent shared her story of having to care for her two grandsons due to the untimely death of her daughter from a fentanyl overdose. While much has been done, Pashinski hopes to do more with House Bill 2858, which would give funds to non-profit organizations that help with legal fees and other services for these grandparents.
