Shapiro signs bill to make Pa. Preferred Organic label permanent

House Bill 157, sponsored by state Reps. Eddie Day Pashinski (D-Luzerne) and Maureen Madden (D-Monroe) to permanently establish the PA Preferred Organic label was signed into law by Shapiro on Wednesday. The legislation attempts to increase brand recognition and bolster marketing for the Commonwealth’s organic farmers. Read more

Keystone Mission opens new Innovation Center for Homeless & Poverty

Brown said the building was purchase for $300,000, with the city using $200,000 of its American Rescue Plan money and he credited Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski for securing the additional $100,000 in state funding. “That’s what this is all about,” Pashinski said. “Giving people hope — giving people a second chance.
