WILKES-BARRE, March 27 – State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski said he is excited to announce the success of his Pot O’ Gold Unclaimed Treasury Week.
The week was held from March 17 through March 21 in coordination with St. Patrick’s Day. This initiative, designed to help residents recover unclaimed property held by the Pennsylvania Treasury, resulted in the return of more than $130,000 to its rightful owners in just one week.
Throughout the event, Pashinski’s office worked diligently to assist individuals in searching for and locating unclaimed funds, securities and other property. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many residents thrilled to find out they had unclaimed assets waiting for them.
“I’m thrilled that we were able to return over $130,000 to our local residents during our Pot O’ Gold Week,” Pashinski said. “This event was not just about celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, but it was about bringing some good fortune to our community by helping people reclaim what’s rightfully theirs. It was a great reminder that everyone deserves a little luck – and sometimes, that luck comes in the form of unclaimed property.”
If anyone missed the event, there is still time to check for unclaimed property. Residents can stop by either of Pashinski’s district offices to see if they have unclaimed property waiting:
