Haddock begins second term in PA House of Representatives

HARRISBURG, Jan. 7 – State Rep. Jim Haddock today was sworn in to begin his second term in the Pa. House of Representatives during a ceremony at the state Capitol to kick off the 2025-26 legislative session.

“I am humbled by the faith that the people in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties have in me by again choosing me to represent their best interests in state government. I do not take that trust lightly and I will continue working hard for them every day, whether that’s at home or in Harrisburg,” said Haddock, D-Luzerne/Lackawanna.

“We accomplished a lot in the last session to help our school districts, working families, seniors and businesses, and I want to continue to do more in the next two years. It’s important for people to have affordable health care, a living wage and good-paying jobs.”

Haddock serves the 118th Legislative District, which includes part of Lackawanna County consisting of Glenburn, La Plume, Newton, Ransom and West Abington townships and Dalton, Moosic, Old Forge and Taylor; as well as part of Luzerne County consisting of the city of Pittston and Jenkins and Pittston townships; and Avoca, Dupont, Duryea, Hughestown, Laflin, West Pittston and Yatesville.
