Rep. Tarah Probst January 7, 2025 | 3:23 PM
HARRISBURG, Jan. 7 – In a ceremony at the state Capitol to kick off the 2025-26 legislative session, state Rep. Tarah Probst was sworn in today to begin her second term in the PA House of Representatives.
“It is with a sense of pride that I took the oath of office to continue representing the people of Monroe and Pike counties. I thank them for their confidence in me and I promise to work hard for them and to be transparent, whether it’s in the district or in Harrisburg,” said Probst, D-Monroe/Pike.
“As a member of the House Democratic majority during my first term, we made historic investments in education, which will allow local school districts to reduce property taxes. We also voted to help seniors, families and businesses across Pennsylvania. We look forward to expanding on that progress by teaming with Gov. Josh Shapiro and the state Senate to make our state a better place to live and work.”
Probst maintains an office at 18 S. 9th St. in Stroudsburg. It is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 570-420-2850. She also has weekly satellite hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Delaware Township and Lehman Township.
Probst serves the 189th Legislative District, which includes part of Monroe County consisting of Middle Smithfield, Smithfield and Stroud townships, Delaware Water Gap, East Stroudsburg and Stroudsburg; and part of Pike County consisting of Delaware, Lehman and Porter townships.
