McNeill excited to get back to work in Harrisburg for another legislative session

HARRISBURG, Jan. 7 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill took the oath of office today as she was sworn in for the fifth time during a noon ceremony to begin her fourth full term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

“I am appreciative of my community for their continued support in my work for them,” said McNeill. “I am ready to get back to work with my colleagues in Harrisburg to work on legislation and policy that will positively impact Pennsylvanians in my community, but also for all Pennsylvanians throughout the commonwealth.”

This is the 209th legislative session with a total of 203 House members elected every two years, in even-numbered years, and each member represents approximately 64,000 residents.

The oath of office was administered by Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Debra Todd, and the invocation was given by Bishop Maureen L. Davis, pastor of the Open Door Mission True Light Church in Philadelphia.
