Kosierowski, Donahue to host social marketing strategy seminars for local small businesses

SCRANTON, Aug. 14 – State Reps. Bridget M. Kosierowski and Kyle T. Donahue are partnering with the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center at the University of Scranton on Thursday, Aug. 22 to help local small businesses tap the power of social media to help grow their businesses.

Two types of strategy sessions will be offered: one for business owners who have no prior experience using social media for their business and one for small business owners who already are using social media but want to deepen their knowledge of the tools and best practices available.

“If you’ve wanted to capitalize on social media to grow your business or are just interested in finding out if you’re utilizing the full potential of social media for your business, then these seminars may be for you,” said Kosierowski, D-Lackawanna. “Each one will only take an hour of your time and can help you learn more about marketing your business on social media.”

“Having your business on social media is a necessity in today’s business climate,” said Donahue, D-Lackawanna. “These classes can introduce you to this marketing tool and expand your understanding of what social media can do for your business.”

Seminar times and descriptions are as follows and will take place at The Marketplace at Steamtown, 2nd floor.

Social Media Marketing Basics for Small Businesses
