Pashinski hosts government programs seminar

HARRISBURG, Feb. 21 – Residents in Wilkes-Barre attended a seminar Tuesday about state government services, an event that was designed to inform them about the state resources available to them.

“I was proud to host this seminar and give the community a space to connect with my office and me and to learn about all of the government programs that are available for them,” said Pashinski. “It is wonderful that Pennsylvanians have access to a plethora of different services; however, that can also act as a double-edged sword because they may not know every service available to them due to how many are out there. I was glad to help put that worry to ease yesterday.”

Pashinski and staff from his office spoke on everything from the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program and the Pennsylvania Yellow Dot Program to recovering Unclaimed Property and LIHEAP, the state’s home-heating assistance program. The discussion included a presentation by Pashinski’s staff that provided more information about these services.

“The most important part of my job is connecting with those in my community who put their trust in me every day to go and do right by them whether that be in Harrisburg or here at home,” Pashinski said. “Yesterday gave me an opportunity to do exactly that, and I look forward to having more events like these in the future.”
