Donahue continues public service at state Capitol
Rep. Kyle T. Donahue January 3, 2023
HARRISBURG, Jan. 3 – Building on his previous years of public service, state Rep. Kyle T. Donahue today was sworn in to begin his first term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
“It was a wonderful experience to be joined by family and friends in our beautiful state Capitol as I took the oath of office for the first time as a state legislator. It is an honor and privilege to represent Lackawanna County in this historic institution,” Donahue said.
Donahue’s district office will be located at 1133 Moosic St. in South Scranton. Donahue will also have a satellite office located in the Moscow Borough Building, 123 Van Brunt St. A grand opening date for each office will be announced this month. Constituents may call (570) 342-4348 or email RepDonahue@pahouse.net for any assistance.
Residents can stay up to date by following him on Facebook and Twitter @RepDonahue and signing up for email updates on his website www.RepDonahue.com.
His priorities include fair education funding for all school districts. He believes the state must provide teachers and children with the resources they require while providing property tax relief to senior citizens. He strongly supports universal Pre-K and an expansion of early childhood education.
Donahue also is a strong proponent of raising the minimum wage, protecting workers' rights and supporting small businesses.
He believes that every Pennsylvanian deserves affordable, accessible and quality health care. He will always stand up against insurance special interests that care more about profits than providing quality care. He will fight to guarantee that all women have the right to make health care decisions for themselves.
Donahue said he will work to protect the integrity of elections, enact comprehensive campaign finance reform, end political gerrymandering and expand ballot access for all Pennsylvanians.
The new 113th District consists of downtown Scranton, West Scranton, South Scranton and Hill Section; Clifton, Covington, Elmhurst, Madison, Roaring Brook, Spring Brook and Thornhurst townships; and Moscow.
