Mullins announces over $3 million for infrastructure projects in 112th Legislative District

HARRISBURG, Dec. 19 – State Rep. Kyle Mullins announced today that 10 projects in the 112th Legislative District will receive roughly $3.2 million through the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s H2O PA and Small Water and Sewer Programs.

“Maintaining the water, storm water and sewer systems beneath our communities is critical,” said Mullins. “This responsibility also comes at a massive cost, which is why I’m proud to announce this funding that will make these projects possible and prevent property damage down the road. I’m grateful to state Sen. Rosemary Brown for her shared efforts and responsiveness to the municipalities that applied for these grants.”

The following local projects were awarded grants:

  • $1,500,000 to Archbald Borough – for stormwater improvements within the Hills of Archbald.
  • $300,000 to Carbondale – for the replacement of sewer lines.
  • $300,000 to Olyphant Borough – to assist with improvements to the Olyphant Borough Sanitary Sewer System.
  • $250,000 to Jessup Borough – for stormwater management at the Bridge Street Storm Line.
  • $213,000 to Jessup Borough – for a sewer main replacement on Mary Jo Drive.
  • $212,000 to Archbald Borough – for stormwater improvements on James Way.
  • $151,000 to Jessup Borough – for stormwater separation on Constitution Avenue.
  • $150,000 to Blakely Borough – for stormwater improvements along Bodnick Street.
  • $126,908 to Jessup Borough – for stormwater separation on Olga Street.
  • $37,000 to Jessup Borough – for a pump station replacement project.

Funds distributed through the H2O PA Program provide for single-year or multi-year grants to municipalities or municipal authorities to assist with the construction of drinking water, sanitary sewer and storm water projects. Act 54 of 2022 appropriated $205.4 million of American Rescue Plan Act funds to the H2O PA – Water Supply, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Water Projects Program.

Funds distributed through the Small Water and Sewer program provide for small water, sewer, and storm system water infrastructure projects. Act 54 of 2022 appropriated $105.6 million of American Rescue Plan Act funds to the PA Small Water and Sewer Program.
