McNeill sworn in for second term

HARRISBURG, Jan. 5 – State Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-Lehigh, took the oath of office today to begin her second full term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where she will continue to represent the 133rd Legislative District.

“As I begin this new legislative session, I remain dedicated to ensuring the great communities that make up the 133rd District are represented and see their concerns addressed in Harrisburg,” said McNeill. “Now more than ever, my team and I are standing steadfast and ready to continue advocating for legislation that benefits families living both in Lehigh County and across the state.”

McNeill said she and her staff are available to help people access state programs and services. Additionally, McNeill said she plans to continue her legislative focus on fighting for policies that benefit working class families, protecting the rights of those with physical and mental challenges, addressing high property taxes, lowering the cost of prescription insulin, addressing the opioid crisis, keeping seniors in their homes and other initiatives that better the lives of the residents of the 133rd District, as well as those across the commonwealth.

“I’m proud to enter this new session with a history of working with members of both parties,” said McNeill. “It’s important, especially in these trying times, that we can come together and address issues that impact us all. That’s the key to continue moving Pennsylvania forward, especially when one considers the gravity of where we are as a commonwealth. We must look past and put aside any differences so that we create a fairer, more productive Pennsylvania for our communities and for future generations.”

McNeill invites constituents to visit her district office at 1080 Schadt Ave., Whitehall. The office can also be reached by calling 610-266-1273. Her staff is available to help with a wide range of state-related issues, including Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program applications, veteran services and more.
