HARRISBURG, March 27 – This week, State Rep. Jen Mazzocco was named to four Pennsylvania House of Representatives committees, coinciding with her first week in the House.
Mazzocco will now serve as part of the House Communications & Technology, Environmental & Natural Resource Protection, Finance and Transportation committees. These committees align with Mazzocco’s key issues and the issues that matter to the 42nd Legislative District.
“I appreciate these committees for giving me assignments in areas I’m passionate about,” Mazzocco said. “These assignments will put me in a stronger position to deliver for the people of the 42nd District. I’ll be able to fight to make sure our communities stay beautiful, stay connected, and continue to receive proper financial resources.”
The committee assignments were just part of Mazzocco’s first week, which included voting for H.B. 200, also known as the Family Care Act, which she also co-sponsored. The bill would establish a state program for paid family and medical leave.
Mazzocco also voted for bills such as H.B. 2189, which would establish a new minimum wage in Pennsylvania, and H.B. 1834, an act that would regulate commercial data centers.
“It’s been quite the busy week, but I’m proud to have supported such bold and powerful legislation right away in the House,” Mazzocco said. “I thank my colleagues for introducing these bills, and I will follow by their example while I’m in office.”
