Rep Elect Jen Mazzocco's Biography

State Rep.-elect Jennifer Mazzocco represents Pennsylvania’s 42nd Legislative District.
Prior to being elected in February 2026, Jennifer was an English teacher at Taylor Allderdice High School for 15 years and served on Dormont Borough Council.
Jennifer’s priorities include advocating for working families, quality education and active transportation. As an active union member and leader, she seeks to prioritize policies that protect working families such as raising the minimum wage, protecting pensions and supporting robust paid sick leave and family leave policies. She also backs public transportation in her district via procuring funds for Pittsburgh Regional Transit.
As a former teacher, education is another important issue for Jennifer, as she works toward securing full funding for local districts, including effective mental health and student support mechanisms.
Jennifer is a native of Hempfield and currently lives in Dormont with her husband and two daughters. In 2020, she helped launch the Dormont Free Pantry, serving those in the community in need of food assistance. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.
