Mazzocco takes oath of office to serve Pennsylvania's 42nd Legislative District

HARRISBURG, March 23 – Today, state Rep. Jen Mazzocco was sworn in to serve as state representative for Pennsylvania’s 42nd Legislative District, located in Allegheny County.
Mazzocco was elected to office when she won a special election on Feb. 24.
“I am so grateful to be able to serve my neighbors and as a state representative in the place I call home,” Mazzocco said. “The people of this district have always represented hard work and being engaged in the success of their communities. I look forward to providing services and advocating for their needs in Harrisburg.”
Mazzocco said her key priorities include advocating for the needs of working families, quality education and active transportation. She is a native of Hempfield and currently lives in Dormont with her husband and two daughters. Prior to her election, she was an English teacher at Taylor Allderdice High School for 15 years and served on Dormont Borough Council.
The 42nd District consists of the townships of Mount Lebanon, Baldwin and part of Upper St. Clair, as well as the boroughs of Castle Shannon and Dormont.
