Malagari secures $30,000 grant for Lansdale American Legion Post 206

LANSDALE, Oct. 26 – State Rep. Steven Malagari, D-Montgomery, today announced a $30,000 grant from the Department of Community and Economic Development has been awarded to Lansdale American Legion Post 206 for the replacement of their broken heating system.

“I know how important this institution is to our community,” Malagari said. “When I heard they were in need of a new heating system, I made it a priority to ensure they had the resources to stay open before winter came.”

Upgrades include the replacement of the commercial steam boiler and the installation of new valves, controls, and a smoke pipe chimney that’s up to code. The grant will also cover the purchase of a new thermostat, radiator vents, gas line, and chimney liner.

Malagari said the Lansdale American Legion provides an invaluable service to the community and local veterans. As part of his commitment to supporting veterans, he encourages any veteran organization to contact his office for collaboration on future community events and VA resources.
