Malagari to co-host free drive-through shred event June 11 in Hatfield

Event open to all residents in Malagari’s legislative district

LANSDALE, June 3 – State Rep. Steve Malagari will co-host a free paper document shredding event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11 at Hatfield Elementary School. The school is located at 1701 Fairgrounds Road in Hatfield.

“I’m excited to be able to team up with Senator Maria Collett to offer this valuable free event for Montgomery County residents,” Malagari said. “We all know how big of an issue identity theft has become, and shred events remain popular with residents hoping to safely dispose of any paper documents that might contain sensitive personal information.”

After documents are shredded, the paper will be recycled. Each household is limited to five boxes/bags of documents at the event. Residents can drive through the event, allowing volunteers to unload the documents from their vehicle’s trunk or truck bed.

The event will be open to all residents in Malagari’s legislative district, including Franconia, Hatfield and Salford townships, as well as the boroughs of Hatfield, Lansdale, Souderton and Telford.

“My staff will be on hand with a resource table for residents looking for information on state programs and services,” Malagari said.

Residents can get more information by contacting Malagari’s office at 267-768-3671.
