Rep. Steve Malagari December 6, 2021 | 4:42 PM
HARRISBURG, Dec. 6 – After working to gain the support needed to acquire necessary funding for a construction and renovation project, state Rep. Steve Malagari announced a $1 million state grant has been approved for Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale.
“This project will allow for the construction of a new entrance, fitness center, renovated library, outdoor gathering space and more,” Malagari said. “Funding will also provide for the relocation of an electrical substation to permit additional living unit expansion and future development.”
A not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, Elm Terrace Gardens was founded in 1981.
“We are fortunate to have a facility like Elm Terrace Gardens in our community, and this state funding will help our residents and their families for years to come,” Malagari said. “This is a really exciting expansion project and a great investment in Lansdale.”
Malagari encouraged Gov. Tom Wolf to release the funding from Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capitol Program to fund the project. The RACP is administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvements.
