Malagari announces $100K DCED grant for Hedwig House

LANSDALE, Oct. 13 – State Rep. Steve Malagari, D-Montgomery, today announced that Hedwig House has been approved for a $100,000 Department of Community and Economic Development grant.

These funds will be used to help them continue their mission of providing services to adults with mental illness across Montgomery County.

“We’ve heard that the needs of local adults with mental illness have only grown since the beginning of this pandemic,” Malagari said. “I was happy to learn that Hedwig House received this sum of $100,000 on their 45th anniversary of serving Montgomery County. This funding allows them to not only continue their services but improve upon the quality care they already provide for so many of our families and loved ones.”

The Department of Community and Economic Development funds Pennsylvania projects supporting good stewardship and sustainable development initiatives across our commonwealth and provides strategic technical assistance, training and financial resources to help communities and industries across the commonwealth.
