Daley announces temporary district office closure, cancellation of two events

CONSHOHOCKEN, March 12 – State Rep. Mary Jo Daley, D-Montgomery, announced her district office at 815 Fayette St., Suite 200, is closed now and for the foreseeable future in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

“The safety and health of my staff and my constituents is of utmost importance right now, and that is why we are taking the preventative measures,” Daley said. “We will be able to assist constituents via phone and email, and special arrangements can be made if an in-person meeting is required.”

Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine on Thursday afternoon provided an update on the state’s COVID-19 mitigation efforts, including guidance specific to Montgomery County on how to reduce the spread of the virus.

Additionally, Daley is announcing the cancellation of two previously scheduled upcoming events:

  • Saturday, March 28: Coffee & Conversations at her district office in Conshohocken.
  • Monday, March 30: Tick Exposure Information Event at Ludington Library in Bryn Mawr.

The state Department of Health continues to provide regular updates, along with information on prevention and preparation on the virus.

Older adults and people with severe underlying medical conditions, such as heart disease, appear to be at higher risk for more serious COVID-19 illness. Those interested can visit the CDC site here for advice on precautions those individuals should take.
