Swearing-in Day, Winter Job Fair and the PA Farm Show

Last week, I joined my fellow state legislators in Harrisburg for the official swearing in of the 2025-26 legislative session. Taking the oath of office in the People’s House is a truly moving and inspiring experience.

After taking the formal oath, we sign the Oath Book and take our places as State Representatives, there to serve you and do our best for the citizens of the Commonwealth.

Congratulations to the Honorable Joanna McClinton on her re-election as Speaker of the House. I want to also commend state Rep. Jesse Topper for his bipartisan effort to allow the House to proceed with the work of the people.

Additionally, I want to thank Speaker McClinton for reappointing me as the majority chair of the House Game & Fisheries Committee. I am looking forward to building on the progress from my first year at the helm and I’m committed to taking on the issues that matter most to Pennsylvania’s outdoor enthusiasts.

ROUNDUP OF THE PA FARM SHOW

I had the opportunity last week to check out the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg! It’s the nation’s largest indoor agricultural event, featuring nearly 6,000 animals, 12,000 competitive events and exhibits to celebrate everything Pennsylvania’s farmers and our agriculture industry have to offer. My favorites were the butter sculpture and the famous Farm Show milkshake! I also visited with Chris Herr, the Executive VP for PennAg, to discuss issues affecting agriculture in our Commonwealth.
