APPLY FOR HOME HEATING ASSISTANCE

Winter is here! Keep your home safe and warm by applying to the Low Income Home Energy Assistance program (LIHEAP). The program provides cash grants to help Pennsylvanians pay their heating bills. These grants range from $200 to $1,000 based on household size, income, and fuel type.

Households in immediate danger of being without heat can also qualify for crisis grants.

Apply online through COMPASS or contact the Allegheny County Assistance Office.

STOCKING PHEASANTS

Thank you to our local Game Wardens, who recently took me and some staff out to help stock pheasants at our local game lands. It was an amazing morning! Holding the pheasants, talking with hunters, and interacting with the Wardens provided a truly educational experience.

As the majority chair of the House Game and Fisheries Committee, I want to remind hunters that pheasant season picks back up Dec. 16-24 and Dec. 26-Feb. 28, 2025.

Don’t forget to wear your orange and good luck!

2025 FISHING LICENSES NOW AVAILABLE!

Fishing licenses, permits, and vouchers for the 2025 season are now available! Prices remain the same as 2024, and you can purchase them through the HuntFishPA website, the FishBoatPA mobile app, or at one of nearly 700 retail license issuing agents.

2025 licenses, permits, and vouchers are valid for up to 13 months, starting December 1, 2024, through December 31, 2025. Customers can choose from annual or multi-year options and can print documents or save them digitally.

Gift vouchers are also available, making it an easy way to share the gift of fishing this holiday season!
