Krueger secures $546,218 state grant for Five Points traffic signal upgrades

HARRISBURG, Aug. 1 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, today announced that $546,218 in state grant funding is headed to Aston Township for upgrades to traffic signal equipment at the Five Points intersection.

The funding comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Green Light Go grant program, which reimburses municipalities for upgrades to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals. Krueger voted for the funding that was made possible for the township in the 2024-25 state budget.

“I am delighted to help bring money back to the communities I represent for projects that will enhance public safety and ensure modern equipment for our municipalities,” Krueger said. “Congratulations to Aston Township officials for their continued advocacy for funding to make needed upgrades at Five Points. It’s partnerships like that that help our communities thrive.”
