Krueger to hold free license plate restoration event with Ridley police April 18

FOLSOM, April 1 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, is partnering with the Ridley Township Police Department to help residents replace hard-to-read or damaged license plates for free.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at Ridley Township Municipal Building, 100 E. MacDade Blvd.

Krueger said a license plate is considered illegible if any of its numbers or letters can’t be recognized from 50 feet, or if it shows any blistering, peeling, discoloration or loss of reflectivity.

“If your license plate is peeling or hard to read, this event is for you,” Krueger said. “Ridley police will assess license plates to determine whether they need replaced and my office can help with the paperwork to obtain a new plate.”

Registration is required prior to the event. Registration and questions should be directed to Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880 or by emailing RepKrueger@pahouse.net. Attendees will need to bring a valid driver’s license and current registration to the event.
