Krueger to host expungement clinic

FOLSOM, Aug. 8 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, will host an expungement clinic to help community members learn if criminal record expungement might be an option for them.

The event, in partnership with Legal Aid of Southeastern PA and NAACP Media Area Branch, will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 at the Brookhaven Municipal Center. Attorneys will provide information about criminal record expungement options and resources, and there will be an opportunity for participants to meet individually with an attorney. If expungement is not an option, additional resources will be offered.

“Having a criminal record can create barriers to employment and housing options,” Krueger said. “I was proud to vote for the Clean Slate Law, and we’re working to educate people on how to navigate the expungement process. I’m pleased to be able to hold this event in-person once again this year and I’m grateful to Legal Aid of Southeastern PA and the NAACP Media Area Branch for their involvement.”

Registration is required for the event. Anyone interested should contact Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880 or RepKrueger@pahouse.net.
