Krueger to hold virtual Medicare workshops in July and August

FOLSOM, July 13 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, announced today she will host three virtual Medicare Education events in coordination with Delaware County MEDI counselors.

The events will take place on the following dates and times:

  • Medicare Cost Sharing: Wednesday, July 20 at 2 p.m.
  • Medicare 101: Monday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m.
  • Medigap: Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m.

“The Medicare process can be overwhelming and confusing,” Krueger said. “I am pleased that with the help of Delaware County MEDI counselors, we can continue to offer these sessions to make the process as smooth as possible for participants.”

These virtual events are for residents approaching the age of 65 or who plan to enroll in Medicare soon. The presentations cover the various parts of Medicare, the pros and cons of traditional Medicare versus Medicare Advantage Plans, when to sign up for the different parts of Medicare, basics of Supplemental Plans, and extra financial help covering Medicare costs.
