Krueger to hold two Property Tax/Rent Rebate assistance events in June

HARRISBURG, June 1 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will hold two Property Tax/Rent Rebate assistance events at her office in June.
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program offers eligible Pennsylvanians money back on rent or property taxes paid.
On Tuesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 23, residents can call Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880, and a staff member will be available to check the status of their 2021 rebate or get help filing the application. No appointments are needed.
“This event is to offer assistance to residents who still need to complete their applications,” said Krueger. “I’m glad to be able to hold these events and hopefully make the process easier for residents.”
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians 65 or older, widows and widowers 50 or older, and individuals with disabilities 18 or older. The income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 a year for renters, and half of Social Security income is excluded.
The maximum standard rebate is $650, but supplemental rebates for qualifying homeowners can boost rebates to $975.
The application deadline is June 30, 2022.
