Krueger to host unclaimed property search events

FOLSOM, March 4 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, will host two days of unclaimed property searches this month at her Folsom and Brookhaven offices to help residents of the 161st District claim what is rightfully theirs.

The Pennsylvania Treasurer's Office is holding more than $4 billion in unclaimed property owed to one in 10 Pennsylvanians. Examples of unclaimed property include uncashed checks, lost stocks or bonds, closed bank accounts and more.

The unclaimed property search events will be held on Tuesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 17. No appointments are needed. Residents can call 610-534-6880 and a staff member will help complete the search over the phone.

"I encourage anyone who thinks they might have unclaimed property to give my office a call,” Krueger said. “We have held this event several times in the past and my office has helped connect many community members with money that belongs to them. If you receive a phone call, letter, or email from someone suggesting they can help you retrieve unclaimed property from the state for a fee, ignore it. My office can help you for free.”

Anyone who wants more information may contact Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.
