Krueger, Kane to host veterans lunch on Oct. 21

FOLSOM, Oct. 7 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger and state Sen. John Kane will honor veterans for their service with an appreciation lunch on Oct. 21.

The lunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Hall, Post 926, 3220 Concord Road, Aston.

Veterans in the 161st Legislative District are invited, along with a family member, to enjoy lunch and receive information on state-related programs and services available for veterans. The Pennsylvania Mobile Veterans Van will be there to help veterans connect with needed benefits.

“We are so grateful for everything veterans have sacrificed on our behalf. This lunch is a way we can show our appreciation as well as ensure that veterans are able to access the services and benefits to which they are entitled,” said Krueger, D-Delaware.

Kane, D-Chester/Delaware, added, “Our veterans served our country -- it's an honor, in any small way, to be able to serve them in return. I'm grateful to be able to host this luncheon to say thank you to our brave veterans."

Seating is limited. Veterans should RSVP by calling Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.

This scaled-back event will be held with COVID-19 safety precautions in place. Temperature screenings will be conducted, and masks must be worn except when guests are eating.
