Krueger, Kane to host shredding and prescription drug collection event April 17

FOLSOM, April 7 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger and state Sen. John Kane are holding a free shredding and prescription drug collection event April 17.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the rear parking lot at Strath Haven High School, 205 S. Providence Road, Wallingford.

Residents are invited to bring up to four boxes of documents to have them shredded on site. In addition, the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office will be on-site collecting unneeded medications for proper disposal.

“This event is a great opportunity for community members to do some spring cleaning and discard old papers and medications safely. Shredding documents that contain personal information helps individuals protect their identity, and proper disposal of medications can prevent misuse,” said Krueger, D-Delaware.

Kane said, “I'm looking forward to holding this event, and giving folks the opportunity to safely dispose of any documents with sensitive information and prescription drugs. We've taken all the steps to make sure we're staying safe and socially distanced, and it's a great chance for constituents to get rid of some of the materials they may not have had the time to get rid of."

Attendees should wear a mask and stay in their vehicles for the no-contact event. Staff will remove the materials from vehicles for shredding.

Anyone with questions can contact Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.
