Krueger to host virtual workshop on Pennie health insurance marketplace

FOLSOM, Dec. 4 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger will host a virtual workshop on Pennie, the state’s new health insurance marketplace, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9.

“Pennie is a great new tool for Pennsylvanians, and I want to make sure residents know how they can shop plans and find the high quality, affordable coverage that meets their needs,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “Deadlines are approaching, so this workshop will be a great chance to learn more or get questions answered.”

Pennsylvanians seeking individual health insurance coverage for 2021 through the Affordable Care Act will use Pennie.com instead of Healthcare.gov.

Open enrollment runs through Jan. 15, but Dec. 15 is the last day to enroll for coverage to start in January. Coverage will begin in February for anyone who enrolls between Dec. 16 and Jan. 15.

Anyone interested can watch the workshop at www.RepLeanne.com. Zachary Sherman, executive director of Pennie, will share information on the new health care tool.

Questions can be emailed in advance to RepKrueger@pahouse.net and will be taken during the event.

Anyone who needs more information should contact Krueger’s office at 610-534-6880.
