Krueger announces $20K grant for Folsom Athletic Association

FOLSOM, Nov. 10 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger, D-Delaware, announced today a $20,000 Keystone Communities grant for Folsom Athletic Association for a sports field lighting project.

Krueger assisted in obtaining the grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Economic Development. The Keystone Communities program encourages partnerships between public and private sectors to support local initiatives.

“We are grateful to Representative Krueger for her efforts in helping us get this grant through the DCED for the purchase and installation of lights for our athletic field and clubhouse building,” said Joseph Steinbacher, treasurer of the Folsom Athletic Association.

Steinbacher added that the project will include the installation of six 50-foot poles with associated light fixtures, plus four security light fixtures for the clubhouse.

“I am happy that we could help the Folsom Athletic Association receive this funding, which not only goes toward increasing safety but also benefits the kids who use these fields,” Krueger said. “I look forward to seeing the finished product.”
