Krueger announces $25K grant for Brookhaven Police Department

FOLSOM, Oct. 30 – State Rep. Leanne Krueger announced that Brookhaven Police Department will receive a $25,000 state grant to help fund equipment to enhance public safety.

The grant comes through the Department of Community and Economic Development and will help fund traffic safety measures.

“This grant will help the Brookhaven Police Department address public safety concerns, which improves quality of life for our entire community,” said Krueger, D-Delaware. “It’s critical that we support the agencies that work to keep us safe, so I was pleased to support the department’s request and am happy to see this state funding come back to the 161st District.”

Brookhaven Borough Council President Terry Heller said, “I’m grateful to the state for approving this funding and to Representative Krueger for her assistance. This grant will help the Brookhaven Police Department keep our borough a safe and great place to live.”
