Malagari celebrates $160,000 grant with Fairmount Fire Co.

LANSDALE, July 24 – State Rep. Steve Malagari, D-Montgomery, presented a $160,000 check to Fairmount Fire Company for the installation of a new HVAC system, the replacement of garage doors, and other improvements to the fire station.

"This funding is an investment in the safety and efficiency of our local fire company,” Malagari said. “The original HVAC unit, backup generator, and garage doors have been in use since the building's construction in 1980 and are now in dire need of replacement. These upgrades will not only reduce maintenance costs but also ensure that our firefighters have a reliable and safe environment to operate in."

The Fairmount Fire Company has faced increasing challenges with the aging equipment, including difficulty sourcing replacement parts and frequent costly repairs. The grant will enable the company to modernize its facilities and enhance its ability to serve the Lansdale community effectively.

"We are immensely grateful to Representative Malagari and all our elected officials for their dedication and hard work in securing this grant," said a spokesperson for the Fairmount Fire Company. "This support arrives at a critical time for our organization, and we cannot express enough thanks to Rep. Malagari and his staff for their ongoing commitment to our community and emergency services."

The Fairmount Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization and has been serving Lansdale Borough since 1889. Community members are encouraged to visit their website and follow them on Facebook to learn how they can join the team and contribute to the safety and well-being of their neighbors.
