Unclaimed Property
In partnership with the Pennsylvania Treasury, we can help you search for and claim money that may belong to you. Feel free to stop by our office for assistance with the unclaimed property process. You can also visit the Department of Treasury website here to see if you have property with the state.

SEPTA
We’re pleased to partner with SEPTA to assist residents ages 65 and older in applying for a SEPTA Senior Key Card, which offers free rides on all SEPTA buses, trolleys, subways, and regional rail lines. The card also provides seniors with a 50% discount on trips to Delaware and New Jersey. So far this year, we have processed over 550 SEPTA Key Cards and hope the number continues to grow by the end of the year.
Applying for this card and getting your photo taken is quick, taking less than five minutes. Please bring a government-issued photo ID that shows your date of birth (such as a driver’s license). SEPTA Senior Key cards currently take around 4–6 weeks to process and SEPTA will mail the new cards directly to you.
Please note: We cannot issue replacement cards. If your card is lost or stolen, send a $5 check or money order to SEPTA at:
SEPTA
P.O. Box 824833
Philadelphia, PA 19182
If your SEPTA Senior Key Card has expired or is nearing its expiration date, our office can assist you with renewing it and getting your new card mailed directly to you.
State Tax Issues & Services
Our office has also assisted many residents of the district concerning issues with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. If you happen to have an issue with a tax filing period with the Department of Revenue or need further clarification on your tax filing, we can gladly assist you by contacting the Department on your behalf.
Tax forms for the upcoming filing season will be available in our office by late January, and we can help you secure any specific forms you may need.
Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program
Since 1971, Pennsylvania’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program has provided more than $7.1 billion in financial relief to eligible residents. The program serves:
- Pennsylvanians age 65 and older
- Widows and widowers age 50 and older
- Individuals with disabilities age 18 and older
The income limit is $46,520, and only half of your Social Security income counts toward that total.
We can assist eligible residents with their 2024 rebate applications, due December 31, 2025.
Additionally, both North Penn and Wissahickon School Districts offer local rebate programs. These can be filed through June 30, 2026, but only after the state rebate application has been submitted.

Citations and Celebrations
You can contact our office to request a commendation, citation, or acknowledgement from Rep. Hanbidge to celebrate important community, family, and personal achievements.
We regularly recognize milestones such as birthdays for residents aged 90 and older; wedding anniversaries at 25, 50, and every ten years thereafter; and organizational anniversaries for churches, nonprofits, businesses, and emergency services at 25-year intervals, including 25th, 50th, 75th, and 100th anniversaries. Our office also honors retirements for individuals with at least 25 years of service, as well as heroic actions performed by private citizens that go beyond the call of duty.
For youth and education, we issue citations for accomplishments such as Boy Scout Eagle Awards, Girl Scout Gold Awards, extraordinary academic achievements like perfect SAT scores, and academic team championships at the district, state, or national level. State and national championship teams receive one citation per member plus one for their school’s trophy case. In athletics, we recognize state or national championship teams, professional or state Hall of Fame inductees, and individual athletes who place first through third at the state level.
We also provide citations for military retirements, unit homecomings, and certain high-level medals, as well as condolences for current or former public officials, prominent community members, and military or first responders killed in the line of duty. Additional recognitions include state or national pageant winners, outgoing presidents of state or national organizations, and individuals or groups whose contributions have had state, national, or international impact.
To request a citation, please email rephanbidge@pahouse.net with as much relevant information as possible. Please allow at least two weeks for processing.
While our primary focus is on state-related services, we are always glad to help connect you with federal, county, municipal, or community resources, including food banks, clothing assistance, and more. No matter your situation, our office is here to support you. If we cannot resolve your concern immediately, we will do our very best to guide you to the appropriate person or organization. Many residents contact us only after exhausting every other avenue; we hope this email serves as a reminder of the many ways our office can assist you and encourages you to reach out whenever you need help.
