PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 3 – State Rep. Jose Giral, D-Phila., will host a district office grand opening. The event will offer residents of the 180th Legislative District the opportunity to meet Giral and learn about the services available at his office. New in PA: Chip postpartum coverage

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, announced that more than half of all states have expanded access to 12 months of Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program coverage after pregnancy. Pennsylvania is the 26th state to be approved for the extended coverage, made possible by provisions in the American Rescue Plan signed into law in March of 2021. More information can be found here .
