Davis presents $25K check to local homeless shelter

LEVITTOWN, Nov. 13 – State Rep. Tina Davis today presented a ceremonial check for a $25,000 Pennsylvania Department of Human Services grant to the Bristol’s Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter.

“I’m proud to present this check for $25,000 to Bristol’s Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter on behalf of the Department of Human Services,” said Davis, D-Bucks. “They do incredible work helping individuals and families coping with mental, physical and emotional issues get back on their feet and find permanent housing. 

“This grant money will ensure that guests at the shelter are receiving the proper care they need.”

The Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter is a temporary residence for individuals and families who have lost housing. The shelter operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Typically, the shelter houses 75 people, and one-third of its residents are children.
