Volunteer Work Day – Waterway Cleanup – Sponsored by the Dow Chemical Company.
Saturday, October 3rd, 9am to 12pm. Volunteer Work Days are held on the First Saturday of Each Month. This month’s Volunteer Work Day will focus on the SLNC Waterways, and is sponsored by the Dow Chemical Company!
Help us maintain our grounds! Be prepared to get wet and dirty. Wear your mask and bring a refillable water bottle. This event is rain or shine.

Saturday Morning Bird Walks. October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, & 31st, 7:30am. Offered from September through November. FREE. Meet outside of the SLNC Visitors’ Building at kiosk near the Parking Area. Free.
FREE Guided Walk on the SLNC Trails. Sundays, October 11th & 18th, 2 - 3pm. Join certified Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, Patricia Merkel, for this leisurely and informative walk covering seasonal topics. Meet outside of the SLNC Visitors’ Building at the kiosk near the Parking Area. Free.
Earthship Tours. Saturday, October 24th, 1 - 2:30pm. FREE. The SLNC Earthship will be open to the public today! Stop by to visit and learn about these interesting, sustainable structures!
Day-off from School Camp Days Coming Up in November & all throughout the School Year!
Why only have Camp in the summer when you can do it in all seasons?! Our School-year Camp Days are scheduled for days when most schools are off. Each Camp Day provides exciting seasonal adventures for your child (5 - 14 years old). Staff and Campers spend the days exploring the forest, swamps, and marsh in all weather.
2020-21 School-year Camp Days to be offered on: 11/3/20; 11/11/20; 12/29/20; 12/30/20; 1/18/21; 2/15/21; 4/1/21; 4/2/21; 5/18/21.

The Silver Lake Nature Center, where learning comes naturally, is a 264-acre Nature Preserve located in Bristol Township, Bucks County. It is a facility of the Bucks County Department of Parks & Recreation with additional funding and staffing provided by the Friends of Silver Lake Nature Center. SLNC is home to over 40 plant and animal species listed as rare, threatened, or endangered in Pennsylvania. Participation in programs helps protect these species and their habitats.
