Our Fraud Bingo event is 1-3 p.m. this Thursday, March 6, at the Bristol Township Senior Center. This interactive game, co-hosted by the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, the Bucks County Department of Consumer Protection, and local police, offers a fun way to learn about common fraud tactics and how to protect yourself. Whether you’re familiar with fraud prevention or new to the topic, this event is a great opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in an engaging format.

Mill Street/Radcliffe Street/Main Street to get repairs

PennDOT announced that Mill Street/Radcliffe Street/Main Street will be closed weekdays between Bath Street and Fallsington Avenue in Bristol Township, and Bristol and Tullytown boroughs from midnight to 6 a.m., Thursday, March 6, through Friday, March 14 for crack sealing operations.
Motorists are advised to use Bath Street, Route 13 (Bristol Pike), and Fallsington Avenue as detour routes during this time.
Local access will be maintained, but drivers should expect delays and allow extra time when traveling near the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Honoring our women veterans

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs encourages drivers to purchase women veterans license plates, including the Honoring Our Women Veterans plate. Available for $40, with $15 going directly to the Pennsylvania Veterans’ Trust Fund, these plates help support programs for the approximately 63,000 women veterans in Pennsylvania. The VTF provides grants to organizations assisting veterans with shelter, essential goods, and other services.

Electronic Recycling Event

On Saturday, May 17 from 9-11 a.m., the Bucks County Technical High School will serve as the location for a community-focused Electronic Recycling Event. In collaboration with state Sen. Steve Santarsiero and state Rep. Jim Prokopiak, this event allows residents to properly dispose of old electronics in an environmentally responsible way.
As an added bonus, attendees can also donate diapers and baby supplies to benefit local families in need. This is a wonderful chance to clean out your home, recycle responsibly, and give back to the community all in one event.
