The first of Bucks County's five Household Hazardous Waste Collection events will be on April 5 at Bucks County Community College in Newtown Township. The closest event to our area will be August 9 at Bucks County Technical School in Fairless Hills.

 

Here are the details for the Lower Bucks events:

?? April 5 – Bucks County Community College
275 Swamp Road, Newtown Township

?? August 9 – Bucks County Technical School
610 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills, Bristol Township

? Event Hours: 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM (Rain or shine)
 

No registration is required.

In Case You Missed It:

Special REAL ID Service Hours on Monday

To help you prepare for the upcoming REAL ID deadline, PennDOT is offering special service hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Monday at the Bensalem Driver License Center, located at 4201 Neshaminy Blvd. Additional special service hours will also be held on April 14 and May 5.

 

The deadline to obtain a REAL ID is May 7. After this date, you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another federally acceptable ID (like a passport or military ID) to:

  • Board domestic flights
  • Enter military bases
  • Access certain federal facilities

Getting a REAL ID is optional, but it’s a good idea to plan ahead. For more information on REAL ID, required documents, and other locations, visit: REAL ID Information

Fraud Bingo Event

Thursday, March 6, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Join me, the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, the Bucks County Department of Consumer Protection, and local police for an informative and fun Fraud Bingo event.

 

This event offers a unique, interactive way to learn how to protect yourself from scams. It’s both educational and engaging, and I know you’ll leave with helpful tips to safeguard yourself against fraud.

 

Help picking a Medicare Advantage plan

Medicare Advantage’s open enrollment period runs through March 31 and eligible Pennsylvanians can take advantage of the Pennsylvania Medicare Education and Decision Insight (formerly APPRISE).

 

MEDI is a free program run by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging that helps older Pennsylvanians choose a plan based on their income and medical needs.

 

MEDI counselors from Bucks County Area Agency on Aging will be in my Levittown office every Tuesday through the end of open enrollment. Please call (267) 880-5700 Prompt #5 to schedule an appointment.
