October 1-7, 2023, is Climate Week in Pennsylvania, and the bicameral Pennsylvania Legislative Climate Caucus is pleased to share this information about events and resources related to climate action and sustainability in Pennsylvania.

Monday, October 2

  • House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee public hearing on House Bill 1275 to protect riparian stream buffers.

  • Webinar: Transition to Clean Lighting in the US
    Join the Appliance Standard Awareness Project (ASAP), National Stewardship Action Council (NSAC), Environment America and the Clean Lighting Coalition (CLiC) for “State of the Lighbulb,” a virtual event on how states across the country are transitioning from mercury-containing lighting to energy-efficient, mercury-free LEDs.

    Participants will gain valuable insights from policymakers, technical experts, and advocates on the process of securing legislative wins to eliminate mercury-containing lighting from the US marketplace.
