Pa. state Rep. Morgan Cephas and her colleagues on the House Appropriations Committee met with Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding to discuss how his department can use its portion of the budget to best serve the people of Pennsylvania. Cephas points out that with federal COVID assistance running out, many seniors and other food-insecure Pennsylvanians could see a significant loss in necessary benefits. She says making critical investments in the agencies and organizations that keep people fed is more important now than ever.
