Continuing the Fight in Harrisburg
|
As we look ahead to the new year, my focus remains on what matters to you: wages that help families get ahead, protections for consumers, and the support our students need to succeed in every school. I will continue working with colleagues across Pennsylvania to turn these priorities into meaningful results for our community.
To my neighbors in Reading, West Reading, Sinking Spring, Wyomissing, and Spring Township – it is an honor and a privilege to continue serving as your state representative. Your trust means so much to me. No matter your party or how you voted, I am here to listen, help, and advocate for you. There is more work ahead, and I’m ready to keep at it – together. I work for you.
|
As we take time to honor and remember those who valiantly served our nation, please note that my office will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. We will resume regular hours on November 12.
|
I will be joining with Latino Connection and Jefferson Health Plans for Warm Hands, Warm Hearts, where we will be providing free winter clothes, state resources, hot meals, and more. The event will be at Clubhouse Living (715 Clinton Street, Reading) on Saturday, November 14 from 11 AM - 3 PM.

Remembering those who Served our Nation
|
It was an honor to join students, veterans, and military families at Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School and Wilson High School as we raised the POW/MIA flag, honoring Americans held as prisoners of war and those who went missing in action.

POW/MIA flag raising at Wilson High School in Spring Township.
A special thank you to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 131 for advocating to bring these flags to schools across Berks County, and to both school districts for embracing this effort.
Learning that more than 80,000 Americans remain unaccounted for stayed with me. As a mother, my heart goes out to the families still waiting for answers. I encouraged our students to learn their stories and help ensure that time does not erase their sacrifice.
“You Are Not Forgotten” is a promise – and we all have a part in keeping it.

Learning about Asphalt Production
|
I recently had the opportunity to tour New Enterprise Stone and Lime in Leesport to learn more about the work that goes into the aggregation and mixing of the asphalt that paves our roads, supports our houses, and helps to build our community.
Thank you for the gracious invitation and insightful tour into this important industry!
|
My Youth Council has set up a Thanksgiving Food Drive at the Wyomissing Library (9 Reading Boulevard) until November 14. Any donations would go a long way to help families throughout our community as we approach Thanksgiving!
