Burns to host House Democratic Policy Committee hearing

LOWER YODER, Sept. 4 – State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria/Somerset, will host a House Democratic Policy Committee hearing on jobs and the economy from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday in the Ernest J. Scharpf Conference Room 213/214, DeSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness, Saint Francis University, 108 Franciscan Way, Loretto.

Burns requested the hearing and will serve as co-chairman with House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster.

Burns said, “This hearing will give local business leaders and economic development experts a chance to share their insights on our region’s current economy and what more we can do to create more jobs in our area.”
