Burns, Haluska to host Senior Citizen Informational Fair Sept. 12
Rep. Frank Burns August 28, 2014
EBENSBURG, Aug. 28 – State Reps. Frank Burns and Gary Haluska will host a Senior Citizen Informational Fair next month.
The fair, to be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Ebensburg's Young Peoples Community Center, 300 Prave St., will include nearly 20 exhibitors, as well as agencies from the state, county and local government.
"This is a great opportunity for our older folks to learn more about the many services and programs available to them in the community," Burns said. "In addition, both Gary and I will be there so we can meet those who attend and provide state-related assistance."
The fair will also feature lunch, refreshments, games and door prizes.
"This event is free, and you don’t need to register beforehand," Haluska said. "It's important for us to be able to bring all of these services together in one place for seniors and also give them a fun day, as well."
Residents can get more information about the Senior Citizen Informational Fair by calling the office of either legislator: Burns – 814-472-8021; Haluska - 814-674-8939.
